Hyper were proud to sponsor Ed Moore who competed in the first ever 24hr race at Silverstone. Star names lined up in the field including former Grand Prix drivers and Le Mans 24 hr winners. The X88 Racing/Simpson Motorsport team had high hopes for the race especially with the speed Moore has shown already this year, but various reliability gremlins including a broken differential and wheel bearing meant the car lost 2.5 hours of track time.
Moore and his team mates Tony Rodriguez, Jeff Wyatt, and Matthew Truelove managed to nurse the car to the finish and an unrepresentative 25th place out of 60 cars
